The Gascoyne Dash is an extreme off-road desert race in Western Australia winding through mountain ranges, desert plains and dunes, the vast Gascoyne River bed and scrub. It is a two day race covering over 550 kilometres starting on the edge of the desert and finishing at the sea by Carnarvon.

One of the very important and long overlooked parts of any Enduro riders weapon of choice is the foot pegs. As with most Enduro riders we spend the majority of our time standing up taking on the various obstacles mother nature happily delivers for us to navigate over, under or around. The 2005 Six Day Enduro adventure took us overseas to Slovakia in the town of Povaska Bystrica in the month of September. Slovakia itself is relatively small, surrounded by many countries. However, it’s forests are open to everyone, like here in Australia, the prices are cheap and their women are gorgeous – better than Poland last year!

The Gods were smiling at us for this years Great Divide Trail Ride with a warm 20 degrees and blue skies as far as you could see. It was an excellent turn out too with 400 eagre trail riders just hanging to get out for their fix of dirt.

It’s 4.30pm on Monday afternoon, the Monday after the KTM Sunny Corner Trailbike Rally and I have just finished work for the day. It’s raining and it’s cold, bloody cold. Those who attended this year’s Rally and who camped in the Forest on Saturday evening are probably saying, “So bloody what, you should be used to the cold and rain after the weekend” ......

The New World record longest ever ATV ride has now been set by Matt Brown at 5710 kilometers.
Ross Ledger rode 5526 kilometers with Matt to allow him to achieve the World Record. With support from their backup crew of David McNamara, John Sherlock and John Kelly as they made their way from Coast to Coast on Yamaha Quads. Be sure to check the gallery pages and full storyhere on EMD.
