Anything that saves us time and keeps our beast of burden in fine form is well worth a run here at the EMD workshop. As we prepare our CRF450X for it's next ride we came across a great product worthy of sharing with you.
We regularly use the CT18 to wash our bikes. Not that were lazy, but after a long hard ride anything you can just spray on, crack a coldie, wait and then hose has got to be a good thing.
The only problem being it's not really a degreaser, enter Maxima CleanUp. This heavy duty, multi-purpose cleaner is a spray on hose off degreaser come cleaner that you can use to shift the stubborn grease and dirt from your bike. Spray it on, hose it off. How easy can it be.
We found other uses Maxima CleanUp on our "O" ring chains after sandy or muddy rides. We used to use engine degreaser and a paintbrush to remove the chain lube that gets mixed with sand or grit to become a grinding paste in your chain. Often overlooked in trailriders maintainence we now use Maxima CleanUp A lot less mess. Then we relube with chain lube or wax minus the dirt. If you don't the crap that accumulates in your chain wears out the parts it contacts in no time.
Lastly the age old question of what to wash your foam filter with has finally been answered, no more harsh solvents or ineffective soaps, this stuff works a charm spray it on and wash off with water and it's easy to apply and won't break down your filter foam (See Tech Article).
Maxima CleanUp has no caustic chemicals and is able to be used for cleaning plastic, rubber, alloy and chrome.
CleanUp contains rust and corrosion inhibitors that help protect your pride and joy and keep it looking in show room condition. Do youself a favour get a can or two and take the hard work out of your bike maintainance.

After normal wash After one spray with cleanup
Comes in a handy spray can that has no CFC's it's easy to use and has heaps of applications around the workshop. With a suggested retail of $15.50 grab yourself a couple to keep on hand, you'll be wondering how you ever got by without it.
Available in all good dirt bike stores or check here for stockists. http://www.stevecramerproducts.com.au/
See ya on the track,
