Bidding opened strongly for the helmet to be worn by Chad Reed at this weekend’s fifth round of the 2009 Lucas Oils AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Thunder Valley, Colorado.
The helmet which has been hand-painted by indigenous artist Raymond Walters Japanangka will be the centre of an online auction to raise money and awareness for Red Dust Role Models.
Reed said he was proud to support the charity which uses positive role models to promote healthy lifestyle choices and education to indigenous communities.
Bidding has opened with the auction now extended until Saturday July 4, 2009.
